今天要分享的俗諺是Happy is he who is content，中文可以翻成「知足常樂」。
上次我們討論到形容詞句型，今天要延續上次討論，繼續分享形容詞得句型。
句型二、be + 形容詞 + 介係詞 + 受詞
l be eager for (something) 渴望某事
She is eager for knowledge
她渴望獲得知識。
l kind to (someone) 對某人和善
He is kind to his students.
他對學生很和善。
You should be kind to your parents.
你應該對父母和善。
l be sorry for 為～感到惋惜，因～而抱歉
He has had a miserable childhood; I am sorry for him.
他童年悲慘；我為他感到難過。
I am sorry for what I have done to you.
對於我向你作的一切，我感到抱歉。
l be grateful (or thankful) to (somebody) for (something) 因某事感謝某人
I am grateful to my son for his teaching me a lesson about life.
我兒子教了我關於人生的一課，我很感謝他。
l be responsible to (someone) for (something) 為某事對某人負責
He is responsible to me for his actions in the work place.
他在工作場所的一切行為，要對我負責。
l be ashamed of 以～為恥
You should be ashamed of what you said to me last night.
你應該對你昨晚跟我說的話，感到可恥。
l be interested in 對～感興趣
My child is interested in the new TV show.
我孩子對這新的電視節目感興趣。
l be surprised at 對～感到訝異
The local residents were surprised at the tornado that swept across the town last night.
昨晚一道龍捲風橫掃過市區，當地居民對此感到訝異。
l be content with 對～感到滿足
今天分享的俗諺，如果要特別表明對何事感到滿足，可以利用這個形容詞句型，改寫如下：
Happy is he who is content with what he’s got in life.
對人生所擁有的一切感到滿足，就是快樂。
